The closing ceremony and the introduction of the winners of the -Palestinian Is Not alon- contest

In the category of introducing the winners of this competition, the first prize in the cartoon category was given to Hecabi Demirci from Turkey, the first prize in the cartoon category given to Payam Vafatbar from Iran, and the first prize in the poster category given to Pouya Sarabi from Iran. The second and third prizes in each category were given to Colombian, Portuguese, Chinese, and Iranian artists.

The finalists of the International Poster, Cartoon, and Caricature Competition "Palestine is Not Alone" were held in a ceremony attended by Iranian and foreign winners on Thursday evening, May 6, at the Islamic Revolution Art Center in Tehran.

"Two coordinated and almost simultaneous events took place in an organized manner last year, which led us to decide about holding this competition. One of these events was a bold plot against the great prophet of Islam, which was carried out with the support of a group of Western rulers, particularly France. At the same time, the step-by-step compromise of the Islamic-Arab states with the Zionist regime and the normalization of relations made us more determined than before as well.” said Mohammad Mehdi Dadman, the head of the Arts Center.

"The international invitation of the art center was accompanied by a response and acceptance of artists from Iran and 66 countries in the field of cartoons, caricatures, and posters, which has an important meaning and concept. The current that showed itself today in the "Palestine Is Not Alone" competition is a mature and stylish art movement.” He added.

The winner of the special prize of the competition was a cartoonist from Gaza named Ms. Hanin Al-Amasi, who was not able to attend the ceremony. Still, by sending a video to the library of the competition and broadcasting it at the ceremony simultaneously, she recorded a significant presence on behalf of Gaza artists.

The competition was judged by Luis Carlos Fernandez from Brazil, Rosem from Malaysia, Isabella Kowalska from Poland, Christina Bernazani from Italy, and Dr. Mohammad Khazaei, Abbas Naseri, Saeed Sadeghi, Masoud Shojaei Tabatabai and Masoud Ziaei from Iran.

It is worth mentioning that to comply with health protocols, attending the closing ceremony was not announced publicly and Sepehr Sooreh Honar Institute affiliated with the art center, covered the ceremony by recording and broadcasting the ceremony from the Ofogh channel and some networks in cyberspace.

In this competition, more than 2,500 works from 66 countries were sent to the festival library.
